Walid 'Mataleao' Tadjouri

Walid 'Mataleao' Tadjouri is a brown belt under Carlson Gracie. He has a background of martial arts practice, starting with Karate from an early age and then moved on to full contact Kick boxing, until he received his black belt when he was 20 years old. He continued in this style for some years until he came across BJJ in 2001 at the famous Budokwai in Chelsea. Walid went on to become one of the first guys who helped to build the Carlson Gracie Revolution Team in Hammersmith. He is the head instructor for BJJ at the Stratford Judo Club, London and the only BJJ instructor in Luton.

Aabid Syed
| Aabid is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is the instructor for the Mataleao BJJ kid's class. He has over 14 years of martial arts experience - he studied Wing Chun for over 6 years under Sifu Jack Kontou; the student of grandmaster Victor Kan, then went on to study BJJ and Judo in 1998 at the famous Budokwai, Chelsea. Later Aabid trained BJJ under Mauricio Gomes at the Budokwai and in 2004 he continued his training at the Roger Gracie Academy where he received his blue belt under Roger Gracie. Whilst training in the BJJ, Aabid also attended Judo classes at The Stratford Judo Club. In early 2007, Aabid began training BJJ at The London Fight Factory, Brasa academy, until finally joined the Carlson Gracie Mataleao BJJ club where he continues to develop his BJJ learning experience under Walid. Aabid has participated in various competitions in BJJ. Currently he holds a silver medal from the Gracie Invitational Seni 2007 competition and has also attained a silver medal in the IV Copa Bitetti 2007 competition. Aabid is very passionate about his teaching and especially enjoys teaching the practical and finer details found in every drill and technique. |
